Please note the purpose of the review is to improve MMP.

It is not about wider electoral issues. By way of example, issues the Commission considers outside the review include:

  • eligibility to enrol and vote
  • electronic voting
  • the Māori electoral option
  • the use of Citizens Initiated Referenda
  • the term of Parliament
  • election campaigning and political party funding
  • broadcasting rules

If you include these kind of issues, your submission is probably outside the scope of the review and the Commission may not be able to consider it.
