I believe that the threshold to qualify for list seats in Parliament should remain at 5%. The current rule that drops the 5% threshold for a party should they win an electorate must be removed!
List Members of Parliamant should not be able to stand as candidates in by-elections.
All candidates to become Members of Parliamant need to make a choice between standing for an electorate or standing on the party list. No candidiate can do both. They must put themselves forward for one or the other, but certainly not both.
With overhang, as the party has been able to win local electorates, the status-quo should remain. Overhang is a quirk of the system, but one that can be lived with. However, the 5% threshold must remain for extra list MPs.
